“Kicks Butt”

 eliteIII

Planetary drive system, 74 HP Hatz silent pack diesel engine, heavy weight, and electronic proportional steering are just some of the features that Doug Enright of Enright Asphalt, LLC, says make the 8500 Elite III “the all around better of all the pavers we demo’d.” The Denver, Colorado, company tried out “every brand of paver” before choosing the LeeBoy. Enright adds, “None [of the competitors] are as good as LeeBoy. I can guarantee you that. LeeBoy was by far better.” Enright also believes that no paver is equal to the 8500 Elite III. He says the competitors with machines in the same class scaled back the capabilities. The price might be close, but you’re getting more for your money when you buy a LeeBoy.

Being in the Mile High City, Enright needs a paver that can push up a steep grade with little effort. He has that with the 8500 Elite III. He adds, “The tracks on other pavers are just too short.” Enright Asphalt’s jobs range from residential developments to industrial parking lots. They’ve done work for an Air Force base and Six Flags. “We could do any job we want to do with a LeeBoy,” Enright explains. On their jobs, Enright Asphalt also uses a 250 Asphalt Distributor and a 420 Pneumatic Roller. To check out the LeeBoy’s on the Enright Asphalt website, go to www.enrightasphalt.com.

Enright Asphalt traded up their LeeBoy 1000 for the 8500 Elite III. “Our jobs are getting bigger, so we had to make jobs look better.” We needed a paver that could push a truck uphill,” says Enright. “Since we upgraded, we’ve put down more asphalt in one season with the Elite III than in three-and-a-half seasons with the LeeBoy 1000. The LeeBoy kicks butt.”

In conclusion, Enright says “The LeeBoy pavers are all around better—better mat, heavier, easy to use. Just better.”
