Best Way to Lay Asphalt
L.D. Janes has been in the asphalt laying business for over 35 years. He knows a good paver
when he sees one. He had seen LeeBoy pavers around and had seen them work. When a Janes competitor won a bid and used a LeeBoy on the job, Janes and his son Leland, Jr., saw what a great job the LeeBoy did. So, when they were in the market for a new paver, they only thought of LeeBoy.
In March 2001, the Janes’ bought a LeeBoy 1000C Track Paver from Ron Pray Equipment in Houston. Not only was the paver a good deal, but the fact that Ron Pray knows paving equipment and how to treat customers made the deal even better. According to Janes, “Ron Pray is a good, honest man. I would buy from him again.”
As for the paver, Janes has the following comments: “Saves labor, saves work, so many options, and the results look better than with other machines.” “It’s the best way to lay asphalt, and it’s priced so that a small paver can own one.” He said, “We will own a LeeBoy from now on. I couldn’t be more pleased.” Janes only regret: “It won’t let me sit under a shade tree and watch it work.”
