Interview with Stephen Yacovone

President

Acme Site Work, Inc.

Indian Orchard, Massachusetts

“Working Up to an Elite III”

Three years ago, Stephen Yacovone, president of Acme Site Work, Inc., in Indian Orchard, Massachusetts, watched a LeeBoy owner use an 8000 paver. That’s all it took to send him in search of a LeeBoy paver of his own. At Wood’s CRW in Hooksett, New Hampshire, he found a used LeeBoy 8000 paver to whet his appetite. But Acme Site Work hasn’t stopped with the 8000.

After getting a taste of the performance of the LeeBoy 8000 paver, Acme Site Work wanted to upgrade. Yacovone says, “We liked the used 8000 so much that the next year we bought an 8500. We’re trying to move into an Elite III. If I find someone to take my Elite II, we’ll buy an Elite III.” When asked why he was upgrading every year, he continues, “I just like the new features. I like that the steering boxes are on both sides - permanently installed.”

While Yacovone waits for his Elite III, Acme Site Work is enjoying the Elite II for its maneuverability and reduction in hand work. Yacovone says, “I like the ease of doing tight areas that are normally done by hand.” Acme Site Work does off-street parking, housing subdivisions, and some city streets. You never know what kinds of spaces you can get into in a parking lot situation. Yacovone sums it up, “The LeeBoy pavers are nice compact pavers that do the work of bigger machines.”
