“Had Nothing But Good Luck with Them”
Parking Area Maintenance, Inc., of Tampa, Florida, has received so much good luck with their LeeBoy products that they’ve bought 14 pieces. At least that’s how many L.C. Kyte can remember without going out and counting. According to Kyte, Shop Supervisor at Parking Area Maintenance, they have two 8500 Elite II (High Deck) pavers, three tack tanks, three pneumatic rollers (420), and six steel wheel rollers (400/300). Kyte says they keep buying LeeBoy because they have good luck with them—plain and simple.
As for the pavers, Kyte says he likes “the way the controls are situated and easy to see. You can see in front of and around the paver, and the way the screed is set up with the extensions and the confined hoses.” The Elite II High Deck model has steering controls that Parking Maintenance can relocate to Low Deck configuration, which allows the operator to walk along the rear of the paver. The screeds have adjustable, hydraulic extensions mounted in front of the main screed. Kyte says the best thing about the rollers is the “cost of operation.” According to Kyte, “All we have to do is change the oil and filters and grease regularly. They run forever.”
Kyte also mentions, “We get a lot of product support. [LeeBoy] is always there for us. Mike Lee (Research and Develo
pment) and Mark Bolick (Service Manager) have been right there for us. Parts
availability is also a plus. We have never had any
problems getting parts when we needed them.”
