Three generations of the Cardillo family have been in the contracting business. For the past twenty years Don Cardillo and Sons Paving has done residential paving. Don remembers the long, arduous hours spent in the business working with his dad using drag boxes and paving in tight spaces. The old method of paving was time consuming and used a large amount of labor. The business was not as productive as Don’s son, Mark, believed it could be. "It took four people to run the drag box and another to drive the truck. Getting the job to look good took more effort than I thought was necessary." So when a LeeBoy salesman came by, Mark and Don listened.
They were impressed with the features of the 700 Asphalt Paver and went to Acorn Equipment to try one out. There, Mark was instructed how to operate the paver and quickly learned how maneuverable it could be. To add to that, operating the paver required fewer people. Don and Mark agreed that the LeeBoy paver would boost productivity and reduce labor costs. The 700 Paver went home with them.
Now they only need two people on the machine instead of four. Obstacles and tight areas are no longer an issue for the Cardillos-"it gets in and out like you wouldn’t believe." The paver is easy to maintain and repair, thanks to the manuals LeeBoy provides to the owners. Mark and Don are very pleased with their LeeBoy 700 paver. Their days are still long but the workload is easier and more productive. They won’t go back to anything but LeeBoys.
