Kubota CCV Filter Maintenance

As Part of EPA Tier 4 regulations, all Kubota Common Rail (CR) engines are equipped with a Crankcase Ventilation (CCV) system.

We have experienced some instances of the CCV filter becoming clogged prior to the 1500 hour Kubota recommended replacement interval. Clogging of this filter may result in oil buildup in this housing failing to drain back to crankcase.  This can lead to oil being introduced to the intake tract. Possible issues include misdiagnosis of turbo failure, emissions related codes, frequent DPF regeneration, and potential for engine to continue to run with key off.

Service Alert: 8530 Potential Issue

It has come to our attention that some 8530 machines may have auger and conveyor pumps hosed incorrectly. The symptoms of an incorrectly hosed machine would include auger speed in pave is only 124-126 rpm. A correctly hosed machine will have an auger speed in pave of 148-150 rpm. Machines should be inspected and repaired as necessary.

Please contact Rapid Response if you have any questions.

Introducing LeeBoy Factory-Backed Certified Used Equipment

Beginning January 1st, 2021, your customers now have the opportunity to purchase used LeeBoy equipment with a Factory-Certification. Each machine under this program will be inspected by a Factory-trained Dealer using a strict Factory Check List to ensure that the unit is 100% operational and any replacement parts are genuine LeeBoy supplied factory components.
This inspection process, along with a 6 month or One Year Power Train Warranty will give the customer the satisfaction that the unit is trouble free and ready to perform.
This gives our dealers a channel to sell rental and low-hour used inventory to customers with a peace of mind the units are in good working order.

Warranty Registration Information

In an effort to maintain accurate Dealer inventory and warranty records, it is imperative that Dealerships register sold and rental units in a timely fashion.

All units are to be registered on LeeBoy’s Dealer Portal within ten (10) days of the unit being sold, entered into a rental fleet, or having 50 hours of demo usage.

It is imperative that an accurate warranty start date is registered in our system based on the above guidelines.

All Peterbilt truck chassis must be registered with Peterbilt to enact the complimentary, factory product warranty.  The chassis is not protected by LeeBoy’s standard product warranty.  Although the chassis is pre-registered upon delivery to LeeBoy, to restart the chassis warranty when the unit is retailed to the final customer, the Peterbilt Warranty Form must be completed and return to Amanda Anderson at aanderson@tlgtrucks.com

 Peterbilt Chassis Warranty Includes:
3 years on engine and emissions
3 years on Allison transmission
1 year/100,000 miles, whichever comes first
