Assembler Weekend Shift

You will work 36 hours and will be compensated for 40 hours. You MUST work the assigned hours in order to receive the additional 4 hours of compensation.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follows assembly procedures following specifications.
- Removes small quantities of metal to clean parts or to produce close fit between parts.
- Drills, taps, or reams holes
- Aligns components then bolts, screws or rivets them together.
- Installs moving parts, such as shafts, levers, or bearings, and works them to test free movement
- Bends and installs pipe for hydraulic systems.
- Aligns and meshes gears in gearbox to assemble system of gears.
- Tests or assists in testing operation of completed product.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Must be familiar with wrench sizes and wrench fit to nut/bolt
- Must be able to install engine hoses and tighten clamps
- Should be familiar with simple wiring and troubleshooting electrical problems (ex. how to wire a 110v switch and tracing a ground issue)
- Must be able to install hoses using hose drawings and process drawings.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience working on cars/trucks/tractors/motorcycles/ATVs etc.

- Working with supervisors, establish and maintain 5S in all stations of assigned area.
- Assures ergonomic work practices are being followed and constantly being improved.
- Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, new tooling, training team members and evaluating results.
- Contributes to the product introduction process with respect to cost estimation, process investigation, schedule development and prototype manufacture.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field strongly preferred.
- Five (5) to seven (7) years relevant work experience preferably in a construction equipment manufacturing environment.
- Lean Manufacturing Certification preferred.
- Strong PC skills including Microsoft Suite and proficiency with Solid Works.
