Job Summary: Applies electrical theory and related knowledge to test and modify developmental or operational electrical machinery and electrical control equipment and circuitry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assembles and test experimental motor control devices, switch panels, electronic-hydraulic controls, solenoids, and other electrical equipment and components.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams or blueprints and determine from these how to build the circuit or components and then be able to troubleshoot the circuit or components.
• Modifies electrical devices under direction of appropriate Engineering resources.
• Diagnoses cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Perform troubleshooting on electrical controls systems with emphasis on electrical      over hydraulic controls.

Summary:  Directs and coordinates activities of the Electrical department in processing materials or manufacturing products in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.
• Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
• Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
• Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensue minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
• Inspects wiring harnesses, battery cables, panels, control boxes, etc., to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
• Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
• Resolves worker grievances or submits unsettled grievances to Human Resources for action.
• Directs associates to maintain and comply with safety and health requirements set by the company.
• Directs associates to comply/follow all STENA/LeeBoy policies and guidelines and to perform effectively in the area of their job.

Supervisory Responsibilities:  Manages the manufacturing process within the assigned Production Department (Electrical).  Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this department.   Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Prepares, sets up, and adjusts press brake as required by product plan (blueprint) and production schedule
• Ensures that there is a sufficient amount of raw materials available to complete each job
• Measures and aligns materials to be used 
• Operates press brake to manufacture parts/components from sheet metal or metal
• Inspects products, evaluating finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications
• Performs routine checks on press brake to detect any issues requiring maintenance or repair
• Maintains a clean work area
• Follows all safety rules / protocols

What YOU will do: 

The Product Manager is a full-time position based in our manufacturing plant in Lincolnton, NC. This position will report directly to the Sr. Product Manager. This role is responsible for helping the company increase sales volume, profitability, improve product performance, reliability, serviceability, manufacturability, ease of operation, quality, and aesthetics throughout the product’s lifecycle.

In This Role, You Will: 

· Drive product development to design new products, modify existing designs, and improve production techniques through competitive comparisons/analysis.

· Maintain a strong working knowledge of competitors, allied industry OEMs and new technologies which may improve operations and develop recommendations accordingly.

· Analyze industry competitors, technology trends, and market demand to plan product development, options, and performance enhancements.

· Resolve problems using solutions that involve new techniques, technologies, or concepts.

· Collaborate with management, production, marketing, and customer service staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products.

· Forecast product profitability, costs (material and labor), and operating costs while participating in preparation of Product Development Authorization (PDA) process and team justifying product creation.

· Advise management of all developments which may affect profit, schedule, costs, customer relations, and/or inter-departmental relations.

· Develop Marketing and Communication material with support of the Marketing Team and mutually coordinate new product launches.

· Actively participate in Trade Shows, Trade associates and Product demonstrations. 

· Maintain a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.

· Carry out additional duties and occasional project work as needed.

What You Need: 

To be successful in this role, you will need:

· Basic knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and engines (mechanical).

· Good organizational skills.

· 3-5 years of relevant industry experience in engineering/product management/application support

· Experience in leading or managing cross functional teams, supporting the development of products is a plus.

· Computer skills: MS Office Suite, Power BI, costing, and planning. 

· Knowledge of ERP/MRP business software for BOM structure (a plus but not a top priority).

· Math skills (concepts/probability/statistical/analytics).

· Customer Service skills (ability to build relationships).

· Marketing knowledge.

· Bachelor's degree in engineering/business management or similar experience (a big plus).

· Must be willing to work onsite at our Lincolnton, NC Manufacturing Facility.

In This Role You Will: 

• Evaluate, analyze and make recommendations on products for cost improvements to      improve the competitive position of the company
• Analyzes, evaluates, and recommends cost improvement ideas through product, vendor, and design changes
• Analyzes, evaluates, sources, and coordinates the procurement of new materials to support model changes
• Follow SOP practices to procure materials needed to construct prototypes and produces as well as supervises the design engineering of model changes
• Analyzes test data and reports to determine if designs meet functional and performance specifications.
• Provides support to sales and marketing on product presentations and customer support
• Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks.  SolidWorks and Enterprise and SolidWorks Electrical are standard drafting, design packages and some exposure to these is preferred.  Ability to learn and apply this type of software and develop electrical systems and document them with panel, harness and control schematics.
• Develop specific LeeBoy electrical system knowledge by working with others, vendors, and some external training, as necessary.  Then use that knowledge in analysis of some of our products.

Associate Product Manager

The Product Manager is a full-time position based in our manufacturing plant in Lincolnton, NC. This position will report directly to the Sr. Product Manager. This role is responsible for helping the Sr. Product Manager, Product Manager, Marketing and Sales Team.

In This Role, You Will: 

• Trade show logistics and planning, setup, and teardown of national trade shows.
• Will be an active participant in trade shows.
• Must be willing to travel extensively for national shows.
• Actively participate in in-house training classes and proving grounds events.
• Could be assisting in the creation of training materials, teaching, and giving product walk arounds.
• Create, maintain, and update product price sheets.
• Maintain current pricing for cooperative purchasing programs.

• Work closely with product managers during yearly pricing review meetings.
• Assist territory managers with bid specs and advise product improvements to increase bid competitiveness.
• Assist territory managers with machine related questions and issues to support them in the field.
• Assist marketing team in the creation and maintenance of any specifications, brochures, promotional materials, videos, or other literature to support equipment.
• Trucks
• Assist or lead the distributor truck and patcher chassis stock planning, suitability, and purchase quantities for the year.
• Assist inside sales and engineering with resolving customer supplied chassis suitability issues.
• Includes determining mix of truck manufacturers to best suit our customers.
• Work with local dealers to get truck chassis issues corrected and assist with chassis issues our dealers may encounter.
• Special Options
• Prioritize, cost, and consult engineering on all special options requested by customers.
• Advise of necessary machinery changes to increase competitiveness, lower cost, reduce build times etc.
• May play a role in equipment cost reduction exercises to track and ensure cost reductions are realized.

Summary:  Supports production staff by installing, maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment, physical structures, pipe and electrical systems in a commercial or industrial establishment.  

Must Have Skills: 

• Tooling knowledge, 
• Diagnostic knowledge - troubleshoot/diagnose equipment, electrical, and mechanical issues
• Must be able to work in small or tight spaces, work in lifts or climb ladders

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoots machines or equipment to detect malfunctions and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machines.
• Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
• Performs preventative maintenance on shafts, bearings, gears, knife blades, and other parts of machinery.
• Installs and repairs minor electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, electrical and electrical components of machinery and equipment.
• Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs/replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment.
• Maintains physical structure of establishment through repair or coordination of repair through sub-contractors.
• Supports operation of machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill and milling machine by repair of machine parts, jigs, fixtures and tools.
• Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
• Trouble shoot and complete repair of welders, hoists, and cranes while coordinating major repairs of equipment.
• HVAC experience a plus
• Willingness to cross train and assist where needed.

Trackunit Administrator

Business Unit:  LeeBoy

In this role you will track the operational “health” of LeeBoy equipment, compile reports, and presenting this information to appropriate groups.

In This Role You Will Need:

In This Role You Will: 

• Install and verify production machines when needed.
• Monitor Epicor integration with Trackunit to verify units are being added and assigned to correct machine/dealer.
• Register unites manually in web portal until integration is complete and reliable.
• Troubleshooting Trackunit connection issues with units in production, this does not require electrical diagnosis skill but using      signal tools provided by Trackunit.
• Set up dealer admin access and assist with API retrieval.
• Assist dealers in the field with troublesome units and arrange warranty replacement through Trackunit if necessary.
• Monitor alerts and warnings.
• Build all service intervals and reminders into Trackunit for each model in order to notify dealers and/or customers;    information to include LeeBoy part numbers for filters and necessary service parts.
• Build in or investigate possibility of using Trackunit to ping or trigger an alarm for dealers on any specific set of serial      numbers when technical bulletin or recall is applicable.
• Collect data to determine average hydraulic and coolant temperatures based upon region and conditions.
• Collect data to determine engine output and torque usage.
• Collect data on first 10 production machines of any new model including usage, fluid temperatures, loading percentages, engine      fault codes, etc.

What YOU will do: 

The Environment, Safety, and Health Manager is a full-time position based in our manufacturing plant in Lincolnton, NC. This position will report directly to the COO. and is responsible for ensuring the company operates in the safest, healthiest, and environmentally responsible manner possible.

In This Role, You Will: 

· Develops and implements policies and procedures in compliance with local, state and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.

· Develops, implements, and manages procedures in compliance with local, state federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rules and regulations for handling waste, storm water, and air activities involving regulatory permits and reports.

· Plans and implements programs to train employees in work site safety practices, fire prevention, and correct handling techniques for chemicals, toxins, equipment, and other materials.

· Investigates all workplace accidents to determine root cause, filing the required incident report, and managing any resulting worker’s compensation claims from the time of the injury through recovery and eventual return to work.

· Inspects facilities and equipment to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, determines corrective or preventative measures where necessary, and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.

· Completes or provides input for all required compliance and regulatory reporting and training, with strong knowledge of federal/state DoL regulations.

· Develops and leads a formal sustainability program and relevant ISO Programs (e.g. ISO 50001, ISO 14064).

· Creates successful internal partnerships to integrate EHS values and practices across the business leading the drive in achieving the annual corporate targets.

· Manages departmental budget and vendor relationships with suppliers that provide EH&S resources to the company at large.

 In This Role You Will Need: 

· Background in same or like industry (construction equipment) 

· Experience in troubleshooting. *Heavy equipment design (including fixtures - understand fixture development/design) 

· Hands on - ability to work on and design - to "make things work properly." 

· Knowledge of metals (ex. how metals react to heat/cold - or welding/reworking)

· Fabrication knowledge *Solid Works knowledge 

 

To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of 5 - 10 years of fabrication and MIG welding experience and must be proficient using Flux Core.

Job Summary: Weld metal parts with gas welding equipment as specified by layout, welding diagram or work order.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Positions parts in jigs, fixtures on a bench / floor, or clamps parts together along layout marks
• Welds parts using Flux Core (possibly sometimes hard wire)
• Scarfs or grooves weld prior to applying filler metal.
• Applies flux to workpiece instead of filler rod.
• Lays out, positions, and tack welds workpiece.
• Welds along vertical, horizontal or overhead weld lines
• Examines weld for bead size and other specifications.
• Repairs broken or cracked metal objects, fills holes and builds up metal parts when necessary.
• Chips or grinds off excess weld, slag or spatter.
• Cleans or degreases parts.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
